About this space

Most auspiciously, the Walrus opened its doors on Record Store Day, April 19th,
2014, and obtained its IV license (alcohol license) on June 21st (Fête de la Musique) of the same year.
An atypical venue, the Walrus acts as a bar, a vinyl and CD record store as well as a gig venue: since its opening Walrus has already welcomed quite a line-up of artists.
Well-implanted in the neighborhood, it now boasts regular and loyal customers, it has become a meeting place as much as a shop, bringing together music- lovers, vinyl collectors or just people meeting there for a laid-back coffee or a gig, or just a browse.
Rapidly the Walrus began attracting artists, labels and journalists as well.
In November 2015, Walrus was elected “Best shop in Paris” by the Time Out internet voters.

The Walrus also offers more unusual services and offers for a record shop in Paris: hair-
dresser, tattoo artist, vintage clothes sale, label’s corner, flash sales.
It is also a « Kids Friendly » place, with toys for our youngest friends, and a diaper changing table. Of course, there is free wifi.
