Lokwerk

A modern shopping center was built on the site of a former locomotive factory in the Sulzer area of Winterthur.

While the brick façade has been largely preserved in its original condition, the new building volume has been interwoven in a contemporary, organic form. The old façade can still be experienced through large box windows. Glass elliptical shutters, curved shops, and a palm garden inside the shopping center.
