As a tenant, what do I have to do to benefit from the insurance?

By booking your space through our platform and communicating with the landlord only through the booking platform, you automatically benefit from Zurich Insurance Company's liability insurance at the time of your booking. The liability insurance provides protection for personal injury and property damage up to CHF 1,000,000 for the legal responsibility of a tenant towards a landlord in case of damage.

What is the difference between POP UP SHOPS insurance package and my own insurance?

Our insurance package is specifically designed for short-term rentals. Our global liability insurance will step in when your own liability insurance is not sufficient and thus extends your existing insurance coverage. We provide this insurance coverage automatically and at no additional cost for every booking on our platform.

What is not covered by the insurance?

In a few cases, liability insurance does not apply, for example in the case of damage to property and other illegal activities. Self-inflicted damage to one's own body is also not covered.
